Life is truly mysterious at times. Coming from a small city in the Philippines and growing up in a modest household, I never imagined that my journey would take me all the way to the United States of America. Along the way, I have learned so much about independence, cultural differences, love, and above all, faith in God.

Six years into this journey, I decided it was time to share both the joys and the struggles of the path I’ve traveled. This blog is a place where I can openly reflect on the lessons I’ve learned, the people I’ve met, the moments that made me laugh and cry, and the experiences that have shaped who I am today.

The Olive Door was created to share my testimony and my story—the things I love, the things I struggle with, and the realities of living between two cultures. It is a space where I can write about my experiences in both the Philippines and the United States, and the lessons that have shaped me as a daughter, a wife, a mother, and a friend.

To me, The Olive Door represents an open invitation. It is a door into my life, my beliefs, and my faith. Through these stories, I hope you’ll find encouragement, inspiration, and perhaps a piece of your own journey reflected in mine.

So come in, stay awhile, and let’s continue growing in grace, one season at a time.
