One will never know what grace looks like until one dies to themselves and cares for another. Some might not realize it, but we are given an abundance of grace every single day. When we decide to forgive the person who hurt us, that is grace. When we let out a sigh instead of blurting hurtful words back at someone, that is grace. When we choose a loving approach to deal with our children’s tantrums instead of lashing out because we are overstimulated mothers, that is grace.

Growing up in a third-world country, life was never easy. But one thing I will always remember is that life was happy. Amid the hunger, losing our home, and many nights with little to eat, there was always something to laugh about and rarely a moment of silence. It almost felt like a survival mechanism, yet at the same time, it was simply who we were.

Looking back now, I realize that grace often grows in the places where life is hardest. It isn’t found only in grand moments or extraordinary blessings. Sometimes, it is found in sharing the last piece of bread, offering a smile when your heart is heavy, or choosing gratitude when circumstances give you every reason to complain.

That is why I chose the tagline, “Growing in grace, one season at a time.” Life comes in seasons—some filled with abundance, others with uncertainty and loss. Yet every season has something to teach us. Every challenge has the potential to shape us, strengthen our faith, and remind us that God’s grace is present even when we cannot see the path ahead.

As you walk through the doors of this blog, my hope is that we can grow together. Through stories of faith, family, culture, homemaking, and everyday life, may we learn to recognize grace not only in our victories but also in our struggles—one season at a time.
